{"id":15933,"date":"2024-03-20T09:17:11","date_gmt":"2024-03-20T12:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.101.10.197\/www\/?p=15933"},"modified":"2024-03-20T09:17:34","modified_gmt":"2024-03-20T12:17:34","slug":"la-unsl-entregara-un-nuevo-premio-defensa-de-la-educacion-publica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fcejs.unsl.edu.ar\/index.php\/la-unsl-entregara-un-nuevo-premio-defensa-de-la-educacion-publica\/","title":{"rendered":"La UNSL entregar\u00e1 un nuevo premio \u00abDefensa de la Educaci\u00f3n P\u00fablica\u00bb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>El Dr. Roberto Escalante Semerena, secretario General de la Red Uni\u00f3n de Universidades de Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe (UDUALC), ser\u00e1 galardonado el 10 de mayo en la localidad de San Francisco del Monte de Oro.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Este premio se ha instaurado como una manera de valorar, apreciar y distinguir a aquellas personas que promueven, defienden, estimulan, protegen y engrandecen la concepci\u00f3n de la educaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n<p>La meritoria trayectoria de Escalante Semerena lo hace acreedor a esta distinci\u00f3n. Obtuvo su doctorado en Econom\u00eda en la Wye College (Universidad de Londres, 1986), as\u00ed como una Maestr\u00eda en Desarrollo Agrario en la misma instituci\u00f3n (1980), pas\u00f3 cinco (5) meses de estancia siguiendo cursos de econom\u00eda,\u00a0<em>The Economics Institute<\/em>, en la Universidad de Colorado, Boulder, USA (1979).<\/p>\n<p>Es egresado de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico en donde estudi\u00f3 la Licenciatura en Econom\u00eda, gradu\u00e1ndose con menci\u00f3n honor\u00edfica en 1975. Ha ocupado diversos cargos en la Facultad de Econom\u00eda de la UNAM y entre 2002 al 2010 fue Director de la Facultad de Econom\u00eda de la misma universidad y actualmente se desempe\u00f1a como Secretario General de la Uni\u00f3n de Universidades de Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe.<\/p>\n<p>En su desempe\u00f1o acad\u00e9mico, ha sido catedr\u00e1tico en Econom\u00eda de los Recursos Naturales y Desarrollo Sustentable, Econom\u00eda Agr\u00edcola y Estructura Agraria en M\u00e9xico. Asimismo, es miembro de la Academia Mexicana de Econom\u00eda Pol\u00edtica, investigador del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores de M\u00e9xico y tambi\u00e9n miembro de la Academia Mexicana de Ciencias. Ha sido invitado como conferencista en diversos foros nacionales e internacionales.<\/p>\n<p>Es autor y coautor de diversos libros, art\u00edculos y otras publicaciones acad\u00e9micas.
